July 2011 – January 15, 2012: Applications are Open to EVERYONE worldwide for all categories (piano – voice – composition – conducting apprenticeship):
- Download the application form online on this website
- Fill the application form – save the MS Word file with your first-and-last-name-program-category (example: SRI-RAHAYU-PIANO-A.doc or John-Smith-Voice-B). Send the application to yogyamusicfestival@gmail.com
- Send this file as soon as possible, and then transfer the application / administration fee to the bank account listed in this website for Rp. 400,000 (about $ 50 USD):

February 2012: LIVE OPEN AUDITIONS for all voice and piano applicants in select cities in Indonesia – Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, and Medan. If you cannot attend, you can upload your live video performance on youtube and send that link to us to yogyamusicfestival@gmail.com. STUDENTS MUST AUDITION to be considered to receive scholarships and to be considered to be in the highest category, category A. Live auditions is highly encouraged.
Audition Repertoire – Please look at the Audition Requirements on “Audition Requirements” Page:
- Be prepared to prepare the entire repertoire requirements, but you will only be asked to play TWO selections / two pieces.
- Each audition students will be given 15 minutes maximum for auditions and interview time.
- For voice and piano, memorized performance is highly encouraged (especially piano).
- For voice students: please bring your score for the accompanist, or you can bring your own accompanist.
March 30th, 2012: Announcement on accepted participants – Category A and B, scholarship participants. You have until April 20th, 2012, to confirm your participation and spot – and pay the Rp 6,000,000 (6 million – around $ 650 USD) if you don’t receive the full scholarship.
April 20th, 2012: Last date to confirm participation in the festival.
May 16th, 2012: Last date to submit all payments for deposit, festival tuition fee, for all Categories who do not receive scholarships. Please send the money to:
